Oasis of the Zombies

For some time I'd known of this obscure zombie flick and not had a chance to see it.  The (fairly) recent DVD release made it available and a copy arrived with my last order.

Why it is so obscure is no mystery.  The film is BORING.  Eighty minutes stretched into an eternity as I struggled to stay awake through this one.  Let me explain.

A convoy of German troops is carrying a fortune in gold when ambushed by "the good guys" at a desert oasis.  With the exception of one officer on the British side every single combatant is killed.

Years later the oasis is haunted by the blood drinking spirits of the dead Nazi's.  Okay, these were evil men (killing people just to hide their convoy's passage) and all died in combat - so why did they come back?  It reminds me of "Zombie Lake" (though that film is entertaining).

Anyway, groups of different people come to the oasis to either dig for treasure or just hang out.  The zombies get them.  Oh yeah, they get them very slowly with so much buildup each time that you get bored.  That is pretty much the whole movie.

what a boring sounding movie..80minutes?? what a dumb plot!!! "oasis of the zombies" sounds like a desert of bad props and actors..and no oasis at all..was it funny at all??

I'm usually pretty good at wringing entertainment from a film.  Even Jungle Hell has a reason or two for me to enjoy it, but not "Oasis of the Zombies."

Simply one of the worst zombie films ever made. They released this with Zombie Lake another movie you should make sure to keep away from!

Hell, I want everyone to rent & see ROBOCHIC, & then go to the readers' comments section and outdo you in your evisceration of said film.
