I was just surfing the movie news here, and noticed the article on the dawn remake.  Does anyone know if this is still going to happen? As a huge Dawn fan, I'm a little scared by this news.  I think some things are better left alone.  Maybe shooting in a bigger mall would add to the action, but then again, with the size of malls nowadays, they could never get all the entrances shut.  I think it would be too unrealistic, unless they have more trucks, more ammo, and more man power.  Oh, and most malls nowadays don't have gun shops.( not that I know of anyway.) I also don't think the original cast could be replaced.  Why not just remake Halloween, too, while they're at  it? If this does come out successful, then I will be quite shocked, and I will  then open mouth and place foot inside.

Here's the lowdown on all you're interested in. Check the summaries and misc.  for more info.

We've got Ving Rhames in it. Should be good.

They're just about in the middle of the shooting schedule in Canada on it.

Considering how Anchor Bay is working on a fully loaded Special Edition of the original DAWN OF THE DEAD, I do hope that they are planning to release this title so as to capitalize on the remake's release. If not, they need to do so.

I mean, take a look at their release of Peter Jacksons BAD TASTE. It was released during the time of the first LORD OF THE RINGS film was released. Now with the third installment is on it's way, you would think that Anchor Bay is going to capitalize on it with a DVD release of MEET THE FEEBLES or BRAINDEAD (U.S. Title: DEAD ALIVE)! But sadly, they are not.

I have more hope for this than the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, but not much more.

this is news to me. Cool news! It all depends on who is remaking the movie. If it is Tim burton I will kill him and his whole family. Tim Burton is a f**king a***ole idiot hack!!!
Look what a great job tom savini did re-makeing NOTLD. It is better than the original.
