I have heard that Anthony Hopkins will be playing Ted Brautigan in the film, but I want to go on record saying that, when I read Hearts in Atlantis, I pictured Clint Eastwood in the role.  I thought he would pull the tired old gunslinger part off beautifully.

Hey Chad...hate to burst your bubble but there will be no references to any of the Dark Tower trilogy.  It will just be men in yellow coats after Ted.  Nothing about a living purple DeSoto, nothing about the Breakers and the dark tower....quite sad.  None of the other Hearts stories will be included either....very sad again

True.
I'm so sad that the original Hearts In Atlantis story will not be included.  Neither will anything about Blind Willie nor Sully John and his Mamasan.........could have been a terrific drama/fantasy anthology...
