I've been watching AND enjoying b-Movies for about 30 years.
I have seen just about every B-movie ever made.
I also have studied film making, which is why I critisize the idiot film makers of today so harshly.
'nuff said.
The show must go on!

I've been playing bass guitar for 17 years
I've been listening to music for about 30 years
I've studied music
I've heard just about every genre of music ever made.

But I understand the workings of the business enough to know that just slamming people who do professionally, what I've just studied is pretty childish.  For one thing everyone has their own tastes, styles, and motivations.  For another, until I have actual evidence that I can do better, then my say-so doesn't mean a thing.

There's a big difference between 'criticizing' and just bad-mouthing.  A criticism means you analyze what a person has done, and why it could've been better, in a manner that actually shows you understand the technical and artistic details of the craft.  So far, no such understanding has been apparent from you.  Criticizing George Lucas for doing a bad job of casting Anakin Skywalker or for relying too much on F/X to cover for a weaker story is one thing, comparing his actions to pot smoking is just juvenile

Some may remember a few months back when I was highly critical of some certain styles of music, but I didn't just say "this sucks",  I took the time to listen to the material quite a bit and gave detailed reasons for why I was being critical of the music.  Anyone's free to disagree with what I said , but no-one can say I wasn't fair and didn't provide ample grounding for my opinion.

There's a time and a place to speak your opinion.  This is true in spoken conversation among friends and associates, this is also true in an online conversation.  Sometimes it's the time to speak up, sometimes civility simple requires personal restraint.

But this is a common pattern, someone coming in acting like a fool and then trying to justify it under "I've studied the subject so I a) know what I'm talking about b) can say whatever I want"  Well the second is true but the first usually isn't, and either way it doesn't make you any less a fool

i like good arguments as much as the next guy, but learn to spell if you want to be taken seriously

for example: "oppinion doen't matter."

maybe you should have spent less time studying film and learned the language.

Freep was absolutely right on the mark and absolutely correct in his reply. His opinion DOES matter to me. His reply was well thought-out and logical, unlike most of yours, TF.

....you're still an idiot, TF. You just don't get it, do you?
