Why, Crybaby, Why?

Why is it that everytime this movie comes on my wife (callysto) makes me endure this piece of trash? I respect the actors who were in the film but, why would the ever think this would have been a good idea? This is in my opinion the second worst film ever made. (The worst being Satan's Storybook and I won't even get started there) As I sit here typing this Johnny Depp is singing on stage. My god even my kids ran out of the house so I know it's bad. Why does this movie even have to be shown or why does it even exist?

I'm a little confused by what you mean.  Why is it so bad?  I think it's a pretty fun watch, a great little parody of 50's culture, customs, music, and movies.  So what's the problem?

I watched Crybaby long before i was a John waters fan and found it damn near unwatchable. Guess i will have to go back and see it again to see if my opinion changed at all.

I guess I do have a different taste in films than everyone else. I mean I don't like the Evil Dead series but I still would watch them over Crybaby anyday.

I wonder why my wife hasn't posted to this yet? Could be why she's not speaking to me as well

I THINK, now, this' purely conjecture, that the character of 'Hatchet Face' was SUPPOSED to be ugly.  

Anyway, Crybaby has porno queen Traci lords in one of her first non-porn roles.  Just a bit of useless trivia.
