Well, I went to Curcuit City today and picked up RADAR MEN FROM THE MOON for $6.99 it's distributed by Platinum and the quality is good. The DVD has 12 episodes and after watching just two episodes I can't wait to see the rest as this is my first viewing of these serials from 1952.  You have to get a look at the Commando Cody in his torpedo helmeted space suit and jet pack. He takes off much like Superman. Anyway he's involved in a struggle against men from the moon. The land vehicles, dialogue, and lunar surface (Southwest Desert), and Commander Cody's space vehicle is much like FLASH GORDONS old one. This is a real gem and I will proudly place it with SAMSON AND THE VAMPIRE WOMEN, SAMSON IN THE WAX MUSEUM, BELA LUGOSI: HORROR CLASSICS, PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE.

Curcuit City also had Jean Rollins box set for $39. I almost bought it, but for now I'll keep my eye one it. It's a vampire collection of his best stuff from what I've read. I have yet to see any of his films. I spent $60 bucks on my Speghetti Western box set last spring and though I love it, it was to much money. I also have that Coffin Joe set on my mind. Maybe someday.

Also I went to Walmart where they are having great deals on some good movies. Prices were $6 dollars. Its a good place to start your DVD library. On the display I seen. ROAD WARRIOR and KINGDOM OF THE SPIDERS/NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD(sealed together for $6), and many others. Worth a stop by. I didn't purchase anything because I bought RADAR MEN FROM THE MOON down the road.

Must be a regional thing with walmart, everytime I try and dig through their cheap bins I find nothing worthwhile

I have a bunch of Jean Rollin's movies . . . they range from very entertaining to pretty boring. If you want a good amount of blood and gore, check out THE LIVING DEAD GIRL. If you want to fall asleep, check out REQUIEM FOR A VAMPIRE (which has almost no dialogue after the first few minutes).

Yea, the Jean Rollin Box set included

Rape of the Vampire (1967)
Shiver of the Vampire (1970)
Requiem for a Vampire (1971)

$39.00

He's one of the directors that I have never seen a film of yet.
