Yep, I heard about it too. It seems as though Grindhouse Releasing (the same company that re-issued Lucio Fulci's THE BEYOND in 1997) owned the uncut English Language version of A CAT IN THE BRAIN and re-released it in theatres with cooperation of Box Office Spectaculars. In fact, Grindhouse and Box Office released in on laserdisc as well. Even their re-issue trailer of A CAT IN THE BRAIN is an "Easter Egg" bonus suppliment on the Anchor Bay DVD release of THE BEYOND! Though it might be a rumor, I highly doubt it.

But hey, if Image can't release it then it will go to Anchor Bay. Grindhouse already let Anchor Bay have THE BEYOND, so A CAT IN THE BRAIN will not disappear so soon.
