Need Title of Movie

I can only remember that it was made in the late 80's and the main characters were a young white kid and a young black kid who hang together the entire movie.
They get into trouble alot and steal a car if I'm not mistaken.
On the box cover it shows both of them looking tough and wearing shades.

Anyone know the title?

It's called BIG SHOTS, or maybe HOT SHOTS, but I'm pretty sure it's the former.

When you described the movie, ASHTHECAT, I had a flash of a box with these two kids on it.  The first movie jmc listed, Big Shots had the box cover I remembered
