Toys for Tots is, for the most part, over.  Just an after action report to do now and some paperwork to file.  A Marine Corps League member, George Inkpen, helped me drop off the last load of toys at an orphanage this morning.

Thank goodness that is over with.  Literally, getting up at 0530 and not getting home until 0200 is an awful way to spend a month.

I saw the whole mess in the "Censure" thread and now a couple of regulars have moderator rights for their accounts.  If you get an ugly post, just "Hide Message."  That way it is preserved in case I have to look up something about it later.

Anyway, I hope that all is well and look forward to actually posting a review soon.

Thanks Andrew. I had noticed the moderator functions, and some other names in bold, and was a little surprised.

Fortunately, this is a pretty low-maintenance board. Even the 'Censure' post led to some interesting posts, once the original poster was gone. I'd say this has to be the only board where a flame war can degenerate into an intelligent discussion.

Merry Christmas everybody.

Merry Christmas to you too, Andrew, and to all on the board.  Best wishes and may Santa fill your stockings with all manner of groovy stuff.

A merry christmas thread?

Great tidings of joy to all, weather you're into Christmas or not.

Glad to hear the Toys for Tots went well - hope you and your family had a good Christmas and a great New Year is in store.

Take care everyone, and be excellent to each other...

While on a journey, Chuang Tzu found an old skull, dry and parched.
With sorrow, he questioned and lamented the end of all things.
When he finished speaking, he dragged the skull over and, using it for a pillow, lay down to sleep.
In the night, the skull came to his dreams and said, 'You are a fool to rejoice in the entanglements of life.'
Chuang Tzu couldn`t believe this and asked, 'If I could return you to your life, you would want that, wouldn`t you?'
Stunned by Chuang Tzu`s foolishness, the skull replied, 'How do you know that it is bad to be dead?'
