My brother suggested I do this post. I'm a big fan of "Bio Booster Armor Guyver" and "Fist of the Norths Star" both are Japanese comic books, both have got crappy American Live action movies based on them. Which is worst? My vote is to "Fist of the North Star" because "Guyver" has a better feeling of B-movie to it and is kinda fun to watch , in my opinion, while "Fist of the North Star" is utter boring crap.

Which is worse?

Fist of the North Star was utter crap. Seeing Chris Penn playing Jackie (but he was known at the Jackal in the live movie) was so incredibly bad.....

I'll take the Guyver movies any day.

While on a journey, Chuang Tzu found an old skull, dry and parched.
With sorrow, he questioned and lamented the end of all things.
When he finished speaking, he dragged the skull over and, using it for a pillow, lay down to sleep.
In the night, the skull came to his dreams and said, 'You are a fool to rejoice in the entanglements of life.'
Chuang Tzu couldn`t believe this and asked, 'If I could return you to your life, you would want that, wouldn`t you?'
Stunned by Chuang Tzu`s foolishness, the skull replied, 'How do you know that it is bad to be dead?'

Fist was too stupid and sometimes you could'nt see the picture not too well too dark.  The first Guyver was just a little ok the second was pretty good the story was so so but the martial arts action was good. I still like the japan animation of the two the most.

The FIST OF THE NORTH STAR movie is unwatchable. The first GUYVER movie got screwed up so badly because the producers insisted it be made more in the vein of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. However, I really like GUYVER 2: DARK HERO. Its excessively long but the monster battles are surprisingly good.

Still, I prefer the GUYVER anime. I wish they'd make more.

I saw the 1st Guyver movie as well and I really didn't care for it at all. I love anime but had no idea that Fist Of The North Star was made into a movie. :(

Ahem...

Fist of the North Star is, IMHO, completely unwatchable.  I feel that way about the goofy American Live Action and the equally stupid Japanese Animation.  The Comic is pretty good, but I just can't get into a story about someone who can blow up your head if they land a punch.  The anime was just dumb, and the Live Action was... how shall I put this...  I would rather get a root canal without anasthetic than sit through that crap again.

The Guyver is crap, too.  The difference is that the Guyver is FUN crap.  Very enjoyable, with neat fight scenes and some pretty cool make-up effects.  I love it, even if it is crap.  The sequel draggs on forever, but is fun none the less.
