Just got back from seeing this one - not too shabby, considering Affleck's last bomb of Gigli...

I'll begin by stating there were only 2 reasons I wanted to see this movie. The first was, John Woo as the director. Ever since I discovered THE KILLER and HARDBOILED, I have loved his work. The second reason? Because it was a Phillip K. Dick short story before hitting the big screen. I have yet to be disappointed by his stories-turned-movies.

The plot isn't hinted at enough in the ads on TV; this is probably why I hesitated in seeing it.

Pretty much, plot is simple -  Affleck did something or saw something he wasn't supposed to. The 20 items he leaves himself are the key to his survival. This movie started VERY slow. After about 20-25 minutes of waiting, the action really took off! You get the standard John Woo fare - a motorcycle scene, the Mexican standoff with 2 guys holding guns about an inch from each others' faces, and the occasional thing going boom.

Unfortunately, it may not get a good chunk of the box office because of Lord of the Rings, but it's still worth seeing. (IMHO)

While on a journey, Chuang Tzu found an old skull, dry and parched.
With sorrow, he questioned and lamented the end of all things.
When he finished speaking, he dragged the skull over and, using it for a pillow, lay down to sleep.
In the night, the skull came to his dreams and said, 'You are a fool to rejoice in the entanglements of life.'
Chuang Tzu couldn`t believe this and asked, 'If I could return you to your life, you would want that, wouldn`t you?'
Stunned by Chuang Tzu`s foolishness, the skull replied, 'How do you know that it is bad to be dead?'
