That list is missing a few films, like Night Life and The Video Dead.

I've seen almost all of those, you're missing quite a few too.  I think I'd put them in this order out of what you listed (and what I've seen):

My Favorites (best and downward):

Return of the Living Dead (1985)
Day of the Dead (1985)
Zombie (1989)- huh? isn't it 1979 or 1980- Fulci's zombie at least
Tombs of the Blind Dead (1972)
Night of the Living Dead (1968)
Dawn of the Dead (1978)
Evil Dead (1983)
Dead Alive (1992)
Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things (1972)
Re-Animator (1985)
Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn (1987)
Burial Ground (1980)
Zombie 3/Zombi 3 (1987)
The Beyond (1981)
Shock Waves (1977)
Night of the Living Dead (1990)
Les Raisins de la Morte (1978)
Zombi Holocaust (1979)
Bio Zombie (1998)
City of the Living Dead (1980)
I Walked with a Zombie (1943)
Plague of the Zombies (1966)
Carnival of Souls (1962)
The White Zombie (1932)
Night of the Creeps (1986)
Dead Hate the Living (1999)
Astro Zombies (1969)
Bride of Re-Animator (1990)
Return of the Living Dead 2 (1988)
Army of Darkness (1992)

Think I'll also add Premutos, Wild Zero, Junk, Psychomania, Hell of the Living Dead, The Video Dead, and a few others I'm forgetting.

My Dislike List (worst and downward)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--Not Here but Night of the Zombie II would be my choice for worst film ever made--
Zombie Nightmare (1986)
Zombie Island Massacre (1984)
Zombie Toxin (1993)
Zombie Lake (1980)
Blood Suckers from Outer Space (1984)
Chopper Chicks in Zombietown (1989)
Redneck Zombies (1987)
Return of the Living Dead 3 (1993)
Plan 9 from Outer Space (1956)

Shot on Video Trash:

Zombie Bloodbath (1993)
Zombie Bloodbath 3: Zombie Armageddon (1999)
The Zombie Army (1991)
Zombie Brigade (1988)
Zombie '90: Extreme Pestilence (1990)
Zombie Bloodbath 2: Rage of the Undead (1995)
-------------------------------------------------------------

Evil Dead Trap (1988) - this isn't a zombie movie if I remember

etc.

REVENGE OF THE LIVING ZOMBIES, aka FLESHEATER was pretty bad, yet entertaining.

THE DEAD NEXT DOOR was probably one of the best shot-on-video horror films.

My least favorite would be DEAD ALIVE, RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD PART 2, and probably ZOMBIE 4.   REDNECK ZOMBIES and ALIEN DEAD were really terrible, but had entertainment value.   I really hated THE DEAD HATE THE LIVING.

Favorites include the original NOTLD, DAWN OF THE DEAD, Fulci's ZOMBIE, and god help me, NIGHT OF THE ZOMBIES.

Here's another list covering some titles not posted CLICK HERE

And just in case some have a short attention span when reading the posts, don't forget about MARK OF THE ASTRO-ZOMBIES(2002)!

Shatter Dead

28 Days Later

I know it's picky of me, but I don't consider 28 DAYS LATER to be a zombie film.

What about OASIS OF THE ZOMBIES?

Here are my comments about the ones I have seen:

Army of Darkness (1992) - very good, but my least favorite in the trilogy
Bride of Re-Animator (1990) - okay, but the original is far superior
Burial Ground (1980) - poorly dubbed, but enjoyable with a few interesting gore scenes
Carnival of Souls (1962) - very good . . . sort of like an extended Twilight Zone episode
Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things (1972) - very 1970s look . . . takes a while to get going, but it's worth the wait
City of the Living Dead (1980) - high gore level, but not scary . . . boring in parts
Dawn of the Dead (1978) - one of the best
Day of the Dead (1985) - okay, but "Night" and "Dawn" are better
Dead Alive (1992) - very fun . . . lots of gore and humor
Dead Heat (1988) - saw about 10 minutes of it on cable many years ago . . . looked terrible
Evil Dead (1983) - a classic
Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn (1987) - a near classic
The Beyond (1981) - I bought the limited edition DVD . . . disappointing movie . . . not worthy of its reputation
Night of the Living Dead (1968) - a classic
Pet Semetery (1989) - not bad, but could have been better
Plan 9 from Outer Space (1956) - a classic
Re-Animator (1985) - a near classic
Return of the Living Dead (1985) - a near classic
Return of the Living Dead 2 (1988) - disappointing sequel
Shock Waves (1977) - fun, but very tame . . . no gore
The Stuff (1985) - good for a laugh or two
Tombs of the Blind Dead (1972) - very good
Torture Chamber of Baron Blood (1972) - decent, but not a "must see"
Zombie (1989) - typical Italian zombie movie
Zombi Holocaust (1979) - AKA "Dr. Butcher, MD" . . . I like this movie

Well, thats quite a list. Not sure if I'll be able to find all of them, but I'm going to start looking. Now if you could try to help me pick the better ones below that are now available on DVD. For now I'm going to put these films on my to view list:

Burial Ground (1980)
Zombie 3/Zombi 3 (1987)
Shock Waves (1977)
Les Raisins de la Morte (1978)
Zombi Holocaust (1979)
City of the Living Dead (1980)
Astro Zombies (1969)
Torture Chamber of Dr. Blood (1972)
The Stuff (1985)
Alien Dead (1980)
Night of the Zombies (1981)
Hell of the Living Dead (1981)
Zombies of the Stratosphere
Oasis of the Zombies
Horror of the Zombies
Garden of the Dead
Zombie Apocolypse
Zombie Island Massacre (1984)
The Dead Next Door (1988)
Night of the Creeps (1986)
Zombie Nightmare (1986)
Zombie 4: After Death (1988)
Blood Nasty (1989)
Hellgate (1989)
The Zombie Army (1991)
Mark of the Astro-Zombies (2001)
Zombie Lake (1980)
Santo vs. The Zombies(1961)
Don't Open the Window (1974)
Wild Zero (heard this one is good)

I have a long way to go. About 28 Zombie films yet to be seen. I agree that THE DEAD HATE THE LIVING and REDNECK ZOMBIES are bad and that THE BEYOND is over rated.

Here are the Zombie films that I have seen.

Night of the Living Dead
Dawn of the Dead
Day of the Dead
Zombie
Return of the Living Dead
Return of the Living Dead II
Evil Dead
Evil Dead II
Army of Darkness
Dead and Buried
Tombs of the Blind Dead
Return of the Blind Dead
Blind Dead 3
Re-Animator
I Eat Your Skin
Plague of the Zombies
Dead Alive
Bad Taste
The Beyond
Demons
White Zombie
28 Days Later
I Walked with a Zombie
King of the Zombies
The Last Man on Earth (more like Vampires)
Plan 9 From Outer Space (were they Zombies?)
Dead Men Walk (more of a Vampire)

So I've seen about 28 Zombie films as of today. I feel I've seen some good ones, but looks like there is still work to be done.

NIGHT OF THE ZOMBIES and HELL OF THE LIVING DEAD I believe are the same film, although now that I think about it I've heard of another film called NIGHT OF THE ZOMBIES.  The Bruno Mattei version reviewed by Andrew is on DVD under the HELL OF THE LIVING DEAD title.  Bad movie, but fun.   ZOMBIE LAKE Is similar, but is a worse movie.  Still fun to laugh at.

Didn't like ZOMBIE HOLOCAUST much, or OASIS OF THE ZOMBIES.
WILD ZERO was more along the lines of DEAD ALIVE....not a serious film and not very frightening.  If I remember right it had bad computer effects.

LET SLEEPING CORPSES LIE is very underrated, I think it's one of the best of that time.

I never look for a film based on if it's  "scary" or not. I don't mind a good horror film. I like anything that has some entertainment value. I keep a look out for HELL OF THE LIVING DEAD and ZOMBIE LAKE. I like most films if they have something to offer. Thanks for the tip. Sounds promising.

The Dead Next Door was shot on 16 MM so it's not quite in the league as those shot on video (usually bad) features.

Can't forget I forgot Let Sleeping Corpses Lie that would be very high on my list- probably in the top 5.

Night of the Zombies and Hell of the Living Dead are the same movie.  Night of the Zombies (sometimes known as 2) is a different one altogether not by Mattei- it's horrible.

Zombie Lake is terrible though and I'd say avoid at all costs.
