One of my Christmas presents was a $25 Suncoast gift card.  Here's how I spent it:

* CHARADE ($9.99) - Good thriller starring Cary Grant, Audrey Hepburn, James Coburn, George Kennedy, and Walter Matthau.  Widescreen version.

* BLOODTHIRSTY BUTCHERS/THE RATS ARE COMING! THE WEREWOLVES ARE HERE! (double feature) ($8.99) - Two terrible Andy Milligan movies.  I can't wait for THE GHASTLY ONES to be released this month.

* EXTRA WEIRD SAMPLER ($4.99) - Over 100 movie trailers from Something Weird Video.

Normally, I do not shop in Suncoast because you can get a bigger bang for your buck elsewhere.  But I had the gift card, so . . .

Suncoast was selling S.W.A.T. "on sale" for $22.98.  At the other end of the mall, Best Buy was selling it at regular price for $19.99.  It amazes me how Suncoast stays in business.  Even the frequent rewards program barely gets you to the same prices as Best Buy and it doesn't even touch Deep Discount DVD's prices.

Suncoast is a joke, I don't bother even going there anymore.  Their supposed "sale" prices are still like several dollars more than even list price- it's ridiculous.  I hate gift cards because they are essentially forcing you to shop somewhere you might not want to.

Sounds like you have the Vid-Kart copy of BLOODTHIRSTY BUTCHERS/THE RATS ARE COMING! THE WEREWOLVES ARE HERE! which AndyC says isn't very good.

Now that EXTRA WEIRD SAMPLER will be a treasure in your collection. I know it's one of mine.

Scott:

Yes, it is the Vid-Kart version.  I saw both of these movies years ago.  I actually rented BLOODTHIRSTY BUTCHERS way back when I had my Beta format VCR!  I remember that the Beta tape of BLOODTHIRSTY BUTCHERS had poor audio quality.  At least you can clearly hear (most of) the dialogue on the DVD.  And I must say, the dialogue is pretty pathetic.

Long live Andy Milligan!
