Okay, I now have a very specific DVD request for my wife.  I just saw in a catalog that the entire UFO (1970) series is available.  I remember watching (and enjoying!) this show when I was young and have been looking for reruns of this for MANY MANY years.

In recent years, I thought I must have imagined the entire series, because I could not find anything on it.

A Gerry Anderson  produced show. He was famous in the 60's for  his Supermarionation (puppets) shows like The Thunderbirds, Supercar, Stingray, Fireball XL 5, and Captain Scarlet. In the  70's he went into live action with UFO and Space 1999. In the early 90's he made Space Precinct.

Amazon has the UFO series, they come in two sets  with 4 disks and 13 episodes per set. The show was only on for one 26 episode season.

I remember watching the show when I was a kid.  I might pick up the DVD set some day.

I remember Space 1999 (that's kinda funny now, in 2004), too.  It seems that every time I tried to find info on UFO, that's all I found.

Space 1999 was actually supposed to be a sequel to U.F.O., but in the end, it ended up being a separate show.

I used to love that show, but the stations around here rarely played it on any kind of  schedule. I'd see it one week, tune in the next week at the same time and instead of the show would be the last 6-8 hours of a baseball game.
