I know many of you have huge movie collections filled with movies of every discription.I've always wondered were do you get most of your movies and were is the best places to find the rare ones.Im kinda looking for places were I can get the movies cheap.
Places I often like to go are Best Buy and Blockbuster.Usually you can find movies pretty cheap at those places, but they don't have a huge selection. The one place I avoid though is Suncoast. It may have a huge selection of movies but rarely do you find any under $25 bucks.

I buy most of mine online at Deep Discount DVD.  Most movies (except for new releases) are at least $2.00 cheaper than Best Buy and Circuit City, and shipping is FREE.

I also shop at Best Buy and Circuit City, and I take advantage of Wal-Mart's $5.88 bin every few months.  I avoid Suncoast like the plague.

*sigh*

I regret to admit that I do much of my movie shopping at Wal Mart.  Those $5.88 bins are somethin' else, you know?

Best Buy (at least the one near me) has a huge selection. I was lucky enough to snag a few choice movies at Walmart, and sometimes the used rack at Hollywood Video has some good 'ol gems.

Burgo is right on - Suncoast will absolutely rob you blind. I could go there and buy a movie for 20 bucks that would cost 14 almost anywhere else.

While on a journey, Chuang Tzu found an old skull, dry and parched.
With sorrow, he questioned and lamented the end of all things.
When he finished speaking, he dragged the skull over and, using it for a pillow, lay down to sleep.
In the night, the skull came to his dreams and said, 'You are a fool to rejoice in the entanglements of life.'
Chuang Tzu couldn`t believe this and asked, 'If I could return you to your life, you would want that, wouldn`t you?'
Stunned by Chuang Tzu`s foolishness, the skull replied, 'How do you know that it is bad to be dead?'

Your support of places like Blockbuster is helping to put the places that do have a more obscure selection, out of business.

I'm weird when it comes to buying films.  I figure if a large part of B-movies is finding the diamond in the trash .  I figure shoping for them should be the same.

It all started with the $3 purchase of Nine deaths of the Ninja about 12 years ago.
I now get 90% of my movies from previously veiwed bins, garage sales, going out of sales events, or discount bins at WalMart/Shop-co.

My unwritten rule is don't pay more than 3.00 for a viewed VHS, 6 for new VHS.
and $7 or less for DVD's .

I've been able to find just about every B-movie I've wanted by this method...
Trancers 1-5, Sleepaway Camp 1-3, Blood of heroes, Terror within 1 and 2...Plus >100 other great films.

Strangely enough the most money I've spent on movies for myself recently was buying the Andy Sindaris DVD collection at Best Buy for $50.

I do most of my DVD shopping on the internet. Between Amazon and DVD Pacific, I can usually find any DVD I want instead of just going into a shop and having a limited choice. Besides that I live in England, so a lot of the movies I really want to see are unavailable here or cut.

There's a really old, really big video store near my house that always has a huge assortment of truly choice b-flicks (and occasional rare-but-good films) for sale; I've got several shelves in my house devoted exclusively to stuff I've found there (they recently dropped the price from 3 for $10 to 4 for $10; pity I've already gotten most of the good stuff!)

When it comes to DVDs, I usually go to Newbury Comics, a local Massachusetts chain of record stores that generally have pretty groovy selections.

I go online for just about everything.   My movie collecting has been curtailed over the last few months but next month I should be working again and will be able to pick stuff up maybe once or twice a month.

Best Buy - Good Selection and fair prices compared to other stores.

Curcuit City - Fair pirces

Suncoast - Great selection. Terrible over priced items. Usually $5 dollars more that other places.

Walmart - Great deals with limited selection

Borders - Good selection with both Something Weird Video and Alpha collections. Useually about a dollar more than other places, but not bad.

Boscovs - Regional department store that has carried some good cheap titles from Alpha and Telefilms.

Odd Job - Some good Catcom films.

Hollywood Video - Great rental store with great selection of VHS and starting to build a older DVD collection.

Blockbuster - The newer the store the worst the selection. I don't know what these people are thinking. Guess they are trying to make a buck off the average movie goer.
