Cybil Shepard, incredibly low budget lone alien in a small town movie. I think there was some cattle mutilation or something going on. The alien had a thing that looked kind of like a glow stick, worked like a very short light saber. At one point, Cybil Shepard looks up at the moon in the middle of the day (which looks exactly like it usually looks when it's visible during the day), and starts FREAKING OUT!!! I can not over emphasise how freaking APE s**t of a conniption she throws. That scene was not clear at all, but I get the impression that they were trying to pass off the fact that the moon was visible during the day as some kind of special effect, like it was the mother ship or something. That's the only part I really remember.

Ooooooooooooooooooooh, I'd forgotten about this one.  As did Cybil, or at least she tries to.  1980's The Return, also starring the illustrious Raymond Burr and Jan-Michael Vincent and my favorite ugly-guy Neville Brand.  Martin Landau is also on board, as is Vincent Schiavelli as the prospector who uses glow-stick to carve people up.  This one's truly bad, and I don't mean good-bad.

I did not remember the title, or for that fact that Raymond Burr was in it. I do remember Jan-Michael Vincent and Martin Landau. I remember the alien cutting off peoples limbs and throwing them into a cheap vortex, or something like that. Does anyone remember if this had a plot? I don't recall one.

It's one of those ones where you wonder if it's a sequel, like "Phase Four" or "Hellraiser".
