This week, I wastde some time with
"Blood Sisters" a fairly cliched 1987 slasher movie about a little boy who kills a bunch of prostitutes in the whore house where he lives and decades later a group of sorority pledges have to spend the night there. Yes, the little boy has grown up, and yes he's a psychotic killer (did you have to ask?)
Anyway, this movie is fairly strightforward. While I'm not really a fan or followe of the slasher genre, this seemed to follow the common cliches I've heard.
The only things that came to mind:
The lighting is pretty effective at making you feel trapped
There was no 'final girl'. There was one girl whom you think will fill that role but, suprisingly, she dies early . Problem with the movie is that she was the only one with even a vague personality. The rest of the cast never gets enough screen time to make any impression and in the end you erally don't care about who dies because they're all some bland
I guess in an attempt to wink at the audience, there are a few lines that were kinda cute:
"And like any horror movie, the van won't start"
"The van
won't start!"
and:
"The hero is not going to rescue us"
Other than that, nothing memorable about the movie
