Hey gang, I just saw this flick directed by Tom Savini and I must say that I thought it was pretty cool. (Actually, It was directed by both Mr. Green & Mr. Savini. )

The CGI was horrible but then again, that's why we love these films. ; ) The latex creature effects was very cool.

Basically, it had very good production value and the acting was better than usual.

I gave it 2 1/2 stars out of five. Not a bad independent effort...

Has anyone else seen this flick?

I usually don't feel compelled to strongly disagree with someone else's opinion but trust me when I say Velvet Brotha's 2 1/2 star review is about 2 stars too generous. VICIOUS is one of the worst excuses for a monster movie I've seen in  a long time and the horrible CGI isn't even Playstation 1 level. Very cool latex creature effects? What latex creature? There's a monster head and its never even in the same shot as the actors? Even Fangoria.com's critic called the effects embarrasing. There is absolutely nothing to to recommend here. The whole movie is a disgrace.

Damn bro, you didn't even bother to use Vaseline...ouch, that hurt. ; )

JK, I really don't have a problem with other people's opinions. You can't get everyone to like what you like. That's why God made Chocolate & Vanilla. ; ) I know, sounds dumb but I like that saying.

The CGI was horrible beyond belief but I still stand beside the latex creature head. It was actually kind of cool for B standards.

To everyone else: The film is basically about a creature that lives in the woods that devours people. Apparently it was some kind of government experiment. (Whoah, never heard of that plot before..) Anyhow, Savini plays the derranged former military specialist/zoo keeper? It's perfect for review on this site. Are you listening Ash?

I love Savini as well! I think he's very talented. Anyhow, the creature kind of reminded me of a bald Stegasaurus. (if that makes any sense ; ) )

The creature looked like the aformentioned dinosaur, only it had no plates! Hillarious! : )

I reviewed this movie for my column at www.herorealm.com - I actually liked it. The monster was awful beyond words, but otherwise it was fun little film to me. It's always good to see Savini, Brinke and Mosely get some screen time.
