I was just wondering what your favourite T.V. theme tunes or songs, from any era.
I dont what these songs are called (or even if they're named) so ill just name the T.V. show they're off.
Mine are: in order
1) Magnum P.I. (dan da dan dan da dan da daaa!)
2) Only Fools and Horses
3) The A Team (obviously)
4) Red Dwarf
5) The Streets of San Fransico

While on a journey, Chuang Tzu found an old skull, dry and parched.
With sorrow, he questioned and lamented the end of all things.
When he finished speaking, he dragged the skull over and, using it for a pillow, lay down to sleep.
In the night, the skull came to his dreams and said, 'You are a fool to rejoice in the entanglements of life.'
Chuang Tzu couldn`t believe this and asked, 'If I could return you to your life, you would want that, wouldn`t you?'
Stunned by Chuang Tzu`s foolishness, the skull replied, 'How do you know that it is bad to be dead?'

I have a great CD with all the great TV theme music. Sometimes we play them on long trips. Green Acres and Beverly Hillbillies.

I agree with a lot of the ones listed here, especially the Doctor Who theme.  The Spider-man Live theme is one I love, but that doesn't mean it's good, right?

I'd also like to suggest the Blake's Seven theme.  That one's a pip.

However, the best, the absolute best, TV theme is "The Incredible Hulk".  That ending theme is absoultely haunting.

spiderman
diffren't strokes
addams family
Hercules
mission impossible
lone ranger..hello? how simplier and catchy can a theme be?

Honestly I used to love old tv shows prior to 1990, because nearly all of them had lyrics..I had all the tv shows memorized even if I didn't like them. You can't sing along with today's tv shows (and if you can it's some song they'll play on the radio like Friends). I don't think there are many, if any really notabley good theme songs in today's shows.
