A few weeks back I watched Cycle Savages with Bruce Dern on the MGM midnite movies double feature disc with Angel Unchained.  Typical biker movie junk where Dern looks a lot like he did in the Wild Angels (4 years earlier I think), scummy and dirty (he's funny and goofy as usual.)  Mindless biker run amock movie that doesn't quite make much sense but then again do any of them from this period?  The fuzz tone theme definitely rocks- I want to know who played that but it doesn't even give them a credit.

I bought this DVD mostly so that I could watch CYCLE SAVAGES.  However, I thought ANGEL UNCHAINED was the better of the two movies.  Dern wasn't at his best and the movie never grabbed me.  ANGEL UNCHAINED, however, had an interesting sort of edge to it.  I can't really explain it . . . you just have to see it to know what I mean.

Yea, this is one Double Feature that I've had my eye on at Suncoast, but am waiting to find it somewhere else. Looks good. I really liked WILD ANGELS and am a big fan of biker movies. Here are my favorites that I have seen:

1) The Wild One - Brando
2) Wild Angels - Peter Fonda and Nancy Sinatra
3) Easy Rider - The Classic
4) Hells Angels on Wheels - Jack Nicholson
5) Psychomania - British Horror film
6) Quadraphenia - British youth with Sting
7) Born Losers - Billy Jack takes on Bikers
8) Mad Max - Well there are bikers in this one
9) She-Devils on Wheels - Bad film, but a must see I suppose. Directed by Herschell Gordon Lewis
10) Chopper Chicks in Zombietown - Don't bother. I turned it off after 15 minutes

I don't know Angel Unchained seemed sort of boring to me.  No fuzz music, not enough fighting.  It started off good (bikers fighting at an amusement park!) then sort of put me to sleep.
