What a title! See Tron/Sheridan vs mutant fish thingies! I guess Mr. Boxleitner needed a paycheck. I wonder how long he really appears in it.

See it Saturday on the SciFi Channel cheapie of the week.

I have no idea what the monster is. A rattlesnake with legs?

I can't wait for this one. I knew a snakehead movie was bound to come out-- Who better than the Sci-Fi Channel?

Oh, and Dolma, snakeheads are those three-foot, land-walking, meat-eating fish that were hassling Maryland last year. I'm gonna guess that the movie will take some liberties...

That's this Saturday?  Man, I lost track of this one.  I heard about it a long time ago and couldn't wait to see it, but I could never remember when it came out and kept forgetting to check.  See you all there!

SciFi's website said something about this being based on a true story. Does anyone know about this?

I think mutant snakeheaded fish munching on people would have made headlines.

There is a snakehead fish that can live outside of water for upto 3 days.  It's an asian fish, but has been found in the US lately.  Try googling Northern Snakehead and Maryland.

Snakeheads are (or were, I don't know about these days) available in many pet shops throughout the US. They have a very voracious appetite and can, in fact, live out of the water for a few days as long as they don't dry out completely. They can also cross small areas of land but how they actually know where they are going or how they do this efficiently without legs, I can't tell you. They are a tough and muscular fish and will eat just to eat, not because they are hungry.
Here's some links with pictures.

Hehe!  The very bottom picture on that first link reminds me of the monster on Creature.

How do those things move on land?
Do they just slither along literally like a snake?

Guess we'll find out Saturday.
