I had the great displeasure of seeing "The Hunger" science fiction series this weekend (I rented a few episodes, "Creature Comforts", on DVD). Has anyone seen this show? Is it not the worst sci-fi you've ever sat through?

I always thought of it a more fantasy, or horror.

There were good and bad episodes. Some made perfect sense, while others you had no clue what was going on.

My favorite was probably the one about the bed that would absorb unfaithful husbands. Second was probably The Secret Shih-Tan, about a rich man who wants a young asian chef to prepare a feast following a recipe in a forbidden cookbook. The reason it's banned is that all the recipes are human-based.

Absolutely, they are awful. Every single director tries the most absurd film flashes to make us watch 20 minutes of TV with no plot at all. However, Terence Stamp and the nudity made me watch  it several times.

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

I've made the mistake of renting a collection of episodes once or twice. The plots seem to badly written short film scripts or recycled/riped off from that old anthology series "The Hitchhiker". The atmosphere, acting, and cinematography seems mostly out of fashion and perfume commericals and soft-core porn. No big surprise on the second part since the nudity seems to be the only part any effort is put into in the episodes I've seen.

I like the intros by David Bowie and Terrence Stamp, they can often be fun, even though they sometimes have little if anyting to do with the actual story.
