Someone mentioned THE THUNDERCATS in an earlier post and it reminded me of the series called THUNDERBIRDS. You have to love the THUNDERBIRDS. They will get a spot on my 24 hour a day B-MOVIE CHANNNEL someday. What year were they made?

I presume you're talking about the Thunderbirds puppet series, made in the 60's by Gerry Anderson. It's a part of many fond childhood memories for generations over here where it was made in Britain, and it's still shown weekly on our screens.Gerry Anderson said recently that he can't watch the show himself because he's so critical of it and all his work, which is a shame because people LOVE all the strings and ropey models. It's all part of its charm.

Yes, Reed thats the show. They tried to make a series recently here in the U.S. on MTV and it also was with puppets, but they put some humor in this puppet space show. I haven't heard if they did anything else on MTV, but it was fun while it lasted. Dose anyone know the name of the MTV space puppet series a year or two ago? MTV was showing it next to shows like CELEBRITY DEATH MATCH and TOM GREEN.

We've currently got a remastered version of Thunderbirds on BBC2 now with all the puppets strings removed by computer.

I had just started working up my review for "Stingray" (I have two LDs with a few episodes) when Stomp Tokyo posted their recent "Thunderbirds" review.  Put it back on the shelf for a while.

You have to love the way that one undersea civilization runs their courts.  If the "sacred fish" keeps looking at you for a period of time then you are innocent and set free, but if fishy turns away -  you are put to death.

No strings?  Well what's the fun in *that*?  Why not add new special effects to Star Wars while you're at it.

Oh, wait...

That just seems odd, especially since they just released the first  few episodes on DVD here in Region 1, with strings and all according to the review in Sci-Fi Weekly.
