We're all just victims of circumstance

Some fan  taken footage of the Batmobile driving  the streets of Chicago turned up over the weekend.  Some are going to love this car and other will hate it, but it appears to be able to haul ass for real.  I love the geek commentary.

See it here with Quicktime:  Batmobile in Action

Nice vid, but I must say, the new batmobile is SO far out of charakter that it might ruin the entire movie (especially if all the other "vehicles" are along the same line).

Bring back tha real batmobile...

dada-dada-dada-dada, dada-dada-dada-dada, dada-dada-dada-dada, dada-dada-dada-dada BATMAN!

:D

I haven't had a chance to view this vid yet.  I'm currently stuck at work bearing the full force on this damned hurricane and using a computer without quicktime.

As for the BatMobile though, I have seen a few pics of it that have surfaced on the net over the past couple of weeks.  I actually like the new batmobile and am extremely pleased at the direction the film is taking.

If you haven't seen the trailer, visit the offical site and take a look at it.  There is almost no batman in it, just a lot of Bruce Wayne.  I have a feeling that Christian Bale will do a great job as Batman.  And with Christopher Nolan (Memento, Insomnia) helming the film, I don't see how it could go wrong at all.

The whole thing with this movie is that they are rebooting the franchise.  This is the origin film and it is when Batman first comes into being, to things aren't all quite worked  out yet (sorta like Spideman in red sweats).  All of his gizmos and costume are from the the Wayne Industries defense business.  I think there will probably be some slicker stuff in the next one.  Although the car looks bad ass to me.

I think Bale is signed for three pictures, so I am hoping this  is as good as it looks like it will be, and maybe we'll have some more.

Oh.  My.  God.

My geek level has just gone off of the charts looking at that vid.

I'm seriously psyched about the flick now.  The new batmobile kicks almighty ass!

Very cool video. The new Batmobile is reminiscent of one from an older comic, I cant remember which one though. Supposedly it was a prototype of a crowd-control vehicle Wayne Industries (or whatever his corporation is called) was creating for controlling riots in Gotham. Dont mark me on that, though, my brother is the Batman expert, not me.
