I just ordered the 50 Movie Sci Fi Classics set off Amazon.  It looks like I will have many hours of many bad movies ahead of me, and I am quite excited.    It was only $30.

I can honestly say I haven't seen any of these movies.

Here is the list of movies:
The Incredible Petrified World
Queen of the Amazons
Robot Monster
She Gods of Shark Reef
The Amazing Transparent Man
The Atomic Brain
Horrors of Spider Island
The Wasp Woman
Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet
Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women
King of Kong Island
Bride of the Gorilla
Attack of the Monsters (aka Gamera vs. Guiron)
Gammera, the Invincible
Santa Claus Conquers The Martians
Teenagers From Outer Space
Crash of the Moons (Rocky Jones)
Menace From Outer Space (Rocky Jones)
Hercules Against The Moonmen
Hercules and the Captive Women
Hercules and the Tyrants of Babylon
Hercules Unchained
Lost Junle
Mesa of Lost Women
Assignment: Outer Space
Laser Mission
Killers From Space
Phantom From Space
White Pongo
The Snow Creature
Son of Hercules
Devil of the Desert vs. the Son of Hercules
First Spaceship On Venus
Zontar, the Thing From Venus (remake of "It Conquered the World")
The Astral Factor (aka "The Invisible Strangler")
The Galaxy Invader
Battle of the Worlds
Unknown World
Blood Tide
The Brain Machine
THe Wild Women of Wongo
Prehistoric Women
They Came From Beyond Space
Warning From Space
The Phantom Planet
Planet Outlaws (Buck Rogers)
Colossus and the Amazon Queen
Eegah
Cosmos: War of the Planets
Destroy All Planets (aka Gamera vs. Viras)

Are there any winners in there?

$30, for that list of movies? Sounds like you paid too much! lol

Actually, that set sounds interesting. I might check that out myself.

Sounds like you got a great deal Bmeansgood.

Robot Monster - Great bad movie. Definite winner
The Amazing Transparent Man - Not so good, but Ok.
The Atomic Brain - Another winner. I enjoyed this one.
Horrors of Spider Island - Great stuff.
The Wasp Woman - Good old Corman flick.
Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet - Not bad.
Teenagers From Outer Space - Ouch. This one hurts.
Crash of the Moons (Rocky Jones) - Been wanting to buy the Oldies copy of this one. Haven't seen it yet.
Hercules Against The Moonmen - Been wanting to buy this one.
Hercules Unchained - Great one.
Mesa of Lost Women - Ouch.  This is both bad and boring. Suppose to be a classic bad movie.
Phantom From Space - Cheapie that isn't to bad.
White Pongo - Would love to see this again. Saw it as a child.
First Spaceship On Venus - Not bad.
Unknown World - Kinda boring, but not terrible. Neat idea.
Blood Tide - Good one. I liked this one.
THe Wild Women of Wongo - Haven't seen it, but what a great title.
They Came From Beyond Space - Terrible and boring in my opinion.
Eegah - A must see.
Santa Claus Conquers The Martians - Saw parts of this one. Andrew has review also.

Overall you have a very good purchase.

Amazon sells a set of 50 horror movies, too. The playlist sounds equally as mind numbing as the scifi set. I might just end up buying both, then locking myself in my room for a month to watch them all. :)

Thanks for the info, Bmeansgood.

Oh no!  Why do you guys keep shopping on Amazon?  Deep Discount DVD has this for $23, plus free shipping.  Beware of Amazon!  Danger, Will Robinson!

>Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet
>Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women

Stuff like this puzzles me; They include the two Americanized versions of this film, so why not the Russian original? From what I've read, it appears to be public domain so they wouldn't have even had to pay for the rights to it. Having all three versions in one set would have been perfect.

Someone let me borrow what I believed to be the original Russian version VCD, but I couldn't play it on my computer. The original title I think was PLANET OF STORMS.

I've always had problems when trying to use Deep Discount's website. Maybe it's just bad luck. But I've given up trying to buy movies there.

I have bought both the Sci-Fi and Horror 50 packs. Great price for a lot of awful (and sometimes good) movies. They are from Treeline Films http://www.treelinefilms.com/eLine Films
They also have 50 packs of Comedy and Westerns. This is the easiest way to get this many movies without shelling out $5-$15 per DVD ... chris
