Finally, got around to watching this one, and damned if I'm not kicking myself for waiting so long.

If any of you don't know what Storm Riders is, I recommend you go check out the user review, which is pretty much dead on.

Does anybody know what the deal with the distribution is?  The only version I can find for sale is a $50 DVD.  They don't sell it on VHS, although I have seen them for rent at Hollywood Video.  I like the movie, but $50 is pretty steep.

I bought it for $50, it was worth it, but if you go on Ebay, you can find for 15-20 bucks brand new! I bought the sequel, "A Man Called Hero" on ebay for about $18, so Ebay is the best deal going.

A Man Called Hero has the all the special effects, but the fighting is sooo much better. Storm Riders had good fighting, but Hero put more focus on up close fighting - and it shows!

The guy who played Wind is the main charater in Hero.

Believe it or not, the guy who played Cloud is some huge pop star in Asia.

STORM RIDERS is a martial arts saga from with huge special effects.  The story is that this guy named Conquer kills the parents of two kids, Wind and Cloud.  He then takes them in and trains them.  Two hours of plot and kung-fu later, they take their revenge.

The main draw here is the fighting enhanced by countless special effects.  Imagine CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON with explosions and reality-rippling attacks.

If that guy Cloud is a huge pop star, is he the one that plays those awful songs in the movie?  All sorts of good stuff is imported from Asia, but they're pop music I can do without.

Only because I'm a late entry.  Here is a link to Henry Dunn's reader review:
