We're all just victims of circumstance

Looks like some good classic viewing on TCM  this weekend.  They are having an all day  Abbot and Costello marathon Thanksgiving day.

On Friday a 6:00 pm Central they are having the first showing of A Christmas Story, followed by  Close Encounters .

Saturday afternoon starting at 2:00 pm the classic Harryhausen film , Jason and the Argonauts followed by  a pretty good western, Dual at Diablo with James Garner and Sidney Poitier.  Right after a 6:00 it 's the Sands of Iwo Jima, with the Duke. At 11:30 catch Gary Cooper, Burt Lancaster, and Ernest Borgnine in Vera Cruz.

Wow, great movies ! Not sure if I'll be in town that morning, but I'm a giant fan of ABBOTT AND COSTELLO. You younger viewers be sure to catch these comedians. They did many movies together in the 40's and 50's. I watched them every Sunday morning for years on WPIX from New York. It's the perfect holiday marathon. My personal favorites are aren't on this marathon like MEET THE KILLER and HOLD THAT GHOST, but don't miss this one.  Also if you ever get to see the TV series you wont regret it. They also had an older live show on network TV.

6:30 am
Lost In A Harem (1944)

  8:00 am
Jack And The Beanstalk (1952)  - Perfect Holiday film

 9:30 am
Abbott and Costello Meet Captain Kidd (1952)

 11:00 am
Abbott And Costello In Hollywood (1945)

 12:30 pm
Abbott And Costello Meet The Mummy (1955)

2:00 pm
Abbott And Costello In The Foreign Legion (1950)

3:30 pm
Abbott And Costello Meet The Invisible Man (1951)

5:00 pm
Buck Privates (1941)

6:30 pm
Time Of Their Lives, The (1946)

lester1/2jr you'll like HOLD THAT GHOST. One of my favorite parts is when the candle slides across the table and Costello can't get the words out.
