GIANTS OF ROME (1964) - Decent Italian sword and sandal film starring Richard Harrison. Ceasar is conquering Gaul and sets out to return to Rome where others are plotting against Ceasar, but first they have to make it back through the mountains to get there. Five roman fighters under the command of Julius Ceasar are sent out ahead of the Roman Legions to destroy a Barbarian catapult that throws a type of gas bomb. After being captured by the barbarians our five heros find the catapult and destroy it as Ceasar meets them at the end of the film and says his farewells to Claudius and the woman he helps escape from prison earlier. Lots of adventure and sword action.
