Michael Keaton--sans the Dark Knight's cape--delves into ghosties and spooks via Electronic Voice Phenomena.  This might be okay if done right, although Hollywood has a way of taking what might be a great idea if treated simply and overblowing the hell out of it.  I had problems with Poltergeist for the same reason--at first glance I thought it pretty cool, but subsequent veiwings made me think that certain doors should have remained closed, and that imagination could have horrified the viewer even more than the ILM fx.

I am  hoping this will be good. My recent viewing of the darkness has got me suspicious about some of the horror movies coming out.

Chances are it will suck. This is the time of year that studios unload the movies they deemed not good enough for the holiday rush or the summer blockbuster season. Michael Keaton's presence in the film gives it a shot of being decent but just given the time of year it's coming out I don't have high hopes.
