This popped up via Slashdot.  The link takes you to Snopes.com and, be warned, that site tends to use pop-up and pop-under ads.  Still, the fish on the bottom left reminds me of "Creatures from the Abyss."

The images were all taken from the site of this research group.   There is lots to see, including the ship's log.  I have to sort of pick which websites I want to see, so I will come back to this later at night (it is the middle of the afternoon here; I am waiting for some software to finish before heading out).  It turns out the really ugly fish from the movie was probably a Fangtooth.  Now that is a fitting name.

"Dammit!  Who opened the radioactive container?" - I love that line.

Saw that yesterday too Andrew.

I believe if I were to make a film, it'd have to be about that creepy ass crab featured on the page.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

Super size some of  these and you got instant monster movie.  # 2 and #6 in the left column and #4 and #5 on the right look like really good candidates for B movie fame.

I just love snopes -- This is one of those sites I just wish I'd thought of, but really I don't suppose I'd have the time or energy to devote to it.
I'm just glad it's there --
