Exactly how impressed was I with this film? Well, I rented it under the alternate title "Black Vampire" with the most god-awful pan-n-scan trasnfer imaginable with grainy picture, horrid audio and several seconds of footage at a time mysteriously blacked out and I STILL liked it. I'd like to find a better copy of it, but I think it's great anyway.

MAP - if you've got DVD capability, seek out the All Day Entertainment DVD - it was mastered from the original 35mm print and represents the best, most complete version of Gunn's original movie.
