after years of hearing about this 80's slasher flick, and how it is a cut above a lot of the other staple ones, i finally rented it and it was actually a fairly decent horror film imo.
the gore was very subtle and done with class, the director didn't exploit the nudity when it was presented, the guy who played the killer was actually quite creepy, and a lot of the scenes were very well put together.
here's the imdb link, the director has had a pretty impressive career directing tv work:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080850/also, tom hanks is in this for like 5 minutes. it's out on dvd now too.
