At this point, mentioning the Holy Trinity is, I would like to think, an exercise in futility, so:
The Dead Hate the Living is a fun fanletter to the genre, with loads and loads of nod-and-wink references to other movies.
Zombi 2, while slow as frozen molasses in places, is still a must-see for any zombie completist.
City of the Walking Dead is unintentionally hiliarious.
City of the Living Dead, which is something of a misnomer because there aren't really that many zombies (it's more of a supernatural "Oops, we done opened the gates to Hell again" thing), is my absolute favorite Fulci flick.  Rent or buy immediately.
Shaun of the Dead is perhaps the best zombie movie ever, period.

Lucio Fulci's ZOMBIE (A.K.A. ZOMBI 2; ZOMBIE: FLESHEATER; GLI ULTIMI ZOMBI; ISLAND OF THE LIVING DEAD; just to mention a few).

ZEDER (A.K.A. REVENGE OF THE DEAD) Although released in the states as a zombie flick, it is more appropriately a story of a quest for immortality, even at the expense of one's soul.

Although I like DOCTOR BUTHER M.D./ZOMBIE HOLOCAUST, the zombies in it are more appropriately automatons (Frankensteins monsters). But it is absolutely funny and a lot of fun.

These are movies I will rewatch more frequently than others. It has been a long time since I have seen I WALKED WITH A ZOMBIE, but I would like to see it again. I also really like WHITE ZOMBIE with Bela Lugosi.

I am also one of the few, apparently, who likes Bruno Mattei's NIGHT OF THE ZOMBIES (A.K.A. ZOMBIE: CREEPING FLESH).

RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD and BRAINDEAD/DEAD ALIVE are absolutely hilarious.

*The reason I list BRAINDEAD like that is because it was released in the states as DEAD ALIVE. There was already a movie (non zombie) called BRAINDEAD in the states.

Some good movies there, Menard.

Why don't you watch the fantastic, low-budget Aussie zombie flick Undead. It should come out in the US a bit later on this year.

I am presently having this scenario idea about zombies munching on Jack 'can't have enough blank space' Corbett (heh..heh..heh).

I'm sorry, guys. I've just had a rough week, thats all.

Plus, I tend to be annoying from time to time.

No, I'm serious.

I get like that if I'm tired or stressed. (Unfortunately, I'm tired A LOT.)

By the way, two more things.

Sorry about the big gaps, and

What do you think of Headless on the "Let's make a Horror Flick!!! PART II" thread?

Oh yeah, by the way:

I didn't include The Evil Dead or 28 Days Later, despite them being two ofmy favourite films, because they technically aren't zombie flicks.

By the way, whats your favourite Evil Dead flick. I can't really choose; I love them too much. (I even watch them to go to sleep at night - mainly No. 1 - but not anymore, because school is back on)

I agree on "Evil Dead" but I do count "28 Days Later" as a zombie flick.

Am I the only person who thought "Undead" was pretty crappy? Granted, I did see it on a clearly pirated DVD that was rather grainy but I could still follow it and thought it was completely unspectacular. Why the rave reviews from so many? What am I missing?
