I saw the preview on a Japanese website ages ago.  Where the heck do you get it from?

imported from japan (i think) which is wierd since it's really a french film. I haven't got it  yet. I've seen it being available on various filesharing networks, but I prefer original before compressed copies.

Is this the one by Enki Bilal? If so, STAY AWAY FROM IT. It gives the word boring a new dimension. Sure, it has some pretty visuals and the girl with blue hair looks stunning, but that is really is all there is. It would take me too long to list everything that is wrong with it, but just some points:
- it moves at a glacier like pace.Compared to it, Vampyros Lesbos seems like Men In Black. I am not exaggerating
- The plot is completely insipid and full of holes
- The acting of the CGI characters is atrocious. They speak in an imitation American accent which is just awful. You get better acting in an average computer game.
- The only 'action' scene is a hopeless ripoff from the car chase in the Fifth Element
- For most of the time, the main character is possessed by the god Horus, making him effectively invulnerable. So they make up a whole song and dance about some terrible monster, which is simply zapped two seconds after meeting him. Talk about suspense

etc
etc

In Europe, it created quite a stir, because a) twenty years ago Bilal was a very innovative graphic artist and his reputation still stands b) it wasn't American and hailed as the intellectual answer to infantile Disney CGI.

I'm Belgian and I can tell you, it stinks.

Well, you can't say I didn't warn you. I don't know if you can get the original comics on which the movie is based (also by Enki Bilal). Those are quite good. It is just when it comes to translating it into film, the man is useless. He also made a live action movie, Tykho Moon,  which is even more boring.  I sat through the whole of Final Fantasy, so my threshold is fairly high.

Curious thing, Immortel was lapped up by the Discerning Film Critics. Must be the quotations from Baudelaire.

about Final Fantasy...it's so beutiful....that even you know it's boring,as you said, you (I mean myself) keep trying to watch it several times....I've seen the first half of the movie like 10 times, but the end only 1 time...and that was the first time I saw it....so I kept satying in there...cuz it was so beutiful....do you have the same problem? I heard they shut the whole studio down after this movie flopped, but recently theres been rumors about a tv-series by the same people on the final fantasy theme....do you know if there's any truth to that or is it just lies?

To answer your question Theef yes they did shut down the studio after final fantasy flopped. Their is a  Anime based on final fantasy (Which is called Final Fantasy Unlimited) is the tv show,, Which is boring as hell and has nothing to do with the games like the movie, and their coming out with other movie Final Fantasy Advent which is a sequel to FF7 the game all done in CGI.
