Anyone else heard this tribute album? I just got a copy off eBay, and it's pretty good, though not terribly polished, and I'm sure I'd have less appreciation were I less familiar with the films. The tracks are:
1. "Ush" - LMNOP (TMBG-esque song where the lyrics are all quotes from "House of Usher")
2. "Booze Thang Meets the Wired Chain Gals" - Space Negros (Rather noisy & atonal juxtaposition of the music from "Wild Angel" and "Caged Heat")
3. "Transmission from Venus" - Man or Astroman? (Surf version of the music from "It Conquered The World," with samples of dialogue throughout)
4. "Bucket of Blood" - Plan 9 (Great monotone reading of the poetry from "A Bucket of Blood")
5. "Candy Stripe Nurse" - Subsonics
6. "All Night Long" - A Bones (Rather faithful cover of a song from "Carnival Rock")
7. "Hacked" - Non Credo (Based on music from "I Mobster" and "Premature Burial")
8. "Creature from the Haunted Sea" - Mouse (Verbatim cover of the theme from the movie, right down to the dialogue and gunfight!)
9. "Teenage Caveman" - Johnny Legend (Hilarious original, sung by Zacherle)
10. "X- The Man With The X-Ray Eyes" - Miss Murgatroid (Not sure what to make of this one...)

It does sound like Rhino (especially given the presence of Johnny Legend), but it seems to have been released by an indie label called Worrybird. Can't find an e-mail address or website anywhere on the packaging, but the snail-mail address is Worrybird, PO Box 95485, Atlanta, GA 30347. Don't know who produced, but the liner notes are by none other than Fred Olen Ray.
