Did anyone see this when it was on TV way back in feb. of 04? I saw a picture of the creature, which, while clearly derived from alien and predator, looked AWESOME, but over on IMDB it's gotten lots of bad reviews.

So my question: Is the film good? I don't care if the plot is crap, I don't rent films called "Alein Lockdown" expecting to see an intellectual film, but is it gory? entertaining? good f/x? It comes out on DVD march first this year and I don't know whether or not rent it...

here's a link to the pic of the creature from the film:

I've been trying to remember the name of that movie, thanks for reminding me!

Yes, it was crap.  The inane prattle that the characters kept mouthing was enough to drive a person nuts.  It was also just soooooooo predictable.

I think it had good atmosphere and fairly decent special effects though... more the pity.

I thought it was an ok way to kill a couple hours. Not especially great, but not the worst they've ever aired either.

Funny Factoid: The original working title for this movie was IDAHO CREATURE INCIDENT. I guess they changed the name because they figured everyone would have tuned in assuming the monster was some sort of mutant potato monster.

Or some kind of "right wing militia guys vs. Bigfoot" film. Actually that might work, kind of like "Dog Soldiers" meets "The Edge".

I remember this one. John Savage plays the nutty professor.  I love the ones like this that have one actor in them that anybody ever heard of and they list him as the star, but he is only in the movie for 15 minutes.
