Can someone please tell me the title of the following movie:  there is a little girl with her father in a sled in the forest with lots of snow, she ends up in an ice castle with a Father Christmas type character, and there is an old witch who lives in a house in a tree, and the house actually spins around the tree!  I think I saw this on Reel Wild Cinema or MST3K.  I think it was made in Germany.  This movie is along the lines of other movies we have, such as the ones made by Robert Rodriquez in Mexico (Puss in Boots, Little Red Riding Hood) and one from Germany, I believe, Rumplestiltskin.  If you know this movie title please let me know, and let me know if there are other movies that are similar to these.  Thank you so much!

That there's Jack Frost, and yep, it was on MST3K. Check imdb.com for details and related movies ("recommendations").

Actually, the IMDB has no recommendations connected to Morozko (AKA Jck Frost). Is proud Russian production! Da!

It should be noted that this movie was recently released on DVD, with both English and the original Russian tracks, under the title FATHER FROST. If you want more movies like it, skulk around one of the many MST3K tape trading boards and track down THE DAY THE EARTH FROZE, THE MAGICAL VOYAGE OF SINBAD (or something like that, but I know Sinbad was in the title), and THE SWORD AND THE DRAGON. All are Russo-Finnish children's movies, and all are weird as all get out.

What he said! All are great fun, when you know how to squeeze the lemons just right.
