ZOMBIE LAKE (1980) - This Zombie film directed by Jean Rollin was quite funny. Not sure if he intended it to be funny. The French resistance kills a group of Nazi soldiers and throws them in the lake. Years later they come back out of the water with green complexion to kill local residence.  One of the Zombies had a child by one of the woman of town and he protects his daughter from the other Zombies. The meetings of the Zombie Nazi father and the young girl are to funny with the music and expressions. Also take a good look at the underwater scenes as they are shot obviously in a pool or tank.

One thing I can say about ZOMBIE LAKE: it looks good compared to OASIS OF THE ZOMBIES, and that ain't saying much. (:

I haven't seen the movie, but I read an interview with the SHAUN OF THE DEAD creators over at All Things Zombie, and they named this movie the worst zombie movie.

Just a tidbit.

I have seen worse, but ZOMBIE LAKE is pretty close to the bottom of the barrel.

And some cyanide tablets. Oasis is pure torture. After 30 minutes I was praying for death.

I'd have taken that bastard with me if I'd have had the chance, but alas, no cyanide. : )

A comment I once made in a post about OASIS OF THE ZOMBIES was that it further proves that Franco can truly bore the hell out of anyone in any subject.

Amen to that. Oasis is one of those landmines you step on when searching video stores and $1 DVD racks for those cheesy B-Movie gems. Franco is a ninja master of boredom.

This movie is horrible, and god knows why it was even made.
