TEN LITTLE INDIANS (Britain 1966)

Funny old movie based on an Agatha Christie detective novel. Not the best one of this b/w-genre but entertaining.
Again a group of people meet in a castle and get killed one by one.
After three of the ten persons were killed, the group realizes that the killer is one of them.
It has an absolute standart-plot as usual in many british and german b/w-thrillers.
It strongly reminded me all these Edgar Wallace movies - they´re kind of  rip-offs of Agatha Christie movies, too.

TEN LITTLE INDIANS is one of my favorite movies when growing up. There are two of this particular film that I can think of TEN LITTLE INDIANS and AND THEN THERE WHERE NONE. In both films they are trapped on an Island due to a storm causing either a ferry delay or a bridge to go out then they get murderered one by one. Also I believe in these films they where invited to stay at the chosen location. I own a bad $1 cheapie tranfer copy of AND THEN THERE WHERE NONE. Again I really like both of these films and if you haven't seen them, you should.

Another good one is the title MURDER BY DEATH which is more of a comedy, but still good.

This is the second remake of the book. The posters are from the first remake, which was Christie's favorite version, and the one that came closest to the book, and the fourth remake of the book. Missing is the third remake w/ Oliver Reed and which takes place in a desert location.

None of the film endings, not even the first, come close to the ending in the book, which has always disappointed me.

Hollywood just can't leave a good ending alone.  It always has to be a happy ending....
