PSI-control over all animals and plants! You could create a giant army...

Plants? What would that do, give terminal hay fever?  I vote undead.  Or barring that, cyborgs.

What I would use for world domination: undead cyber ninja midgets. Nuff said.

Not nessarily. Thats a grey area, kinda like cyborgs. They blend the best, and worst, ot both methods.

My plan actually calls for robots.

PRO
1.  They can be mass produced and will cost less to build as time goes on.
2.  When destroyed, no retraining is necessary.
3.  They can be centrally controlled.
4.  They require no food.
5.  They require no gestation.
6.  Blind loyalty since they won't question their programing.

CON
1.  Raw material supply may grow short.
2.  Programing flaws and the fear of self awareness.
3.  Litter left by destroyed robots and the environmental impact.
4.  Need techies to program and repair.

Above all, I think Dean has the right idea in that I will have to recruit toadys that can take the fall for me if this plan goes wrong.

And you guys thought I put too much thought into this.

We can probably add one more advantage to machines over monsters. Machines are less likely to develop a crush on the hero's girlfriend, which is always problematic.

And those Asimov's laws...makes it hard to really terrorize the populace if they cannot harm human.  But maybe I buy the wrong robots.   Once I got a bunch of cymbal playing windup monkeys.  Never dominate on the cheap.

Didn't you ever seen "The Hellstrom Chronicle" and "Phase IV", or read "One Human Minute" by Stanislaw Lem. Insects!!! Insects are where it's at! Trillions of locust-like critters or endless armies of ants capable of destroying any nation's resources or overwhelming any armed force and endless replaceable. Not even giant bugs, just lots of regular sized ones.

Although personally I prefer the Dr. Mabuse method of world domination involving overly complicated methods of mind control of minions (the better to control leaders or build armies of cannon fodder), freaky invisability belts, and waves of high profile crimes to cover for power grabs and other elaborate far reaching schemes. And from a style standpoint you can't beat running all of this from inside the walls of an insane asylum.
