I just saw the Doom movie trailer on the Rotten Tomatoes website. It looks very... bland. It's a good thing I was expecting it to be awful. Watch till the end and you'll get to hear that cheesy canned scream I complain about so much. :)

I think this movie is about ten years too late.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

Whilst it didn't neccessarily look good, it certainly wasn't as bad as I thought it would be: for some reason I was expecting something kind of like Dracula 3000.  Although when I watched it with my friend, he just looked at me and said: so what's the plot??

There are some early bits of info that made it sound better than expected..  The demons are actually in it, some of the early footage they showed was actually good, they're going for an R rating..  I still wouldn't hold my breath.

Hollywood, get a game to film conversion right? Just as well they have hell freezing over in this movie.

Seriously though - WHY can't they just follow the game? Doom 3 actually had a pretty cool plot, sure it would need some tweaking to make it a proper film but it would have worked, I think.

But please - they're going to try and blame this on genetics? Man, America needs to reign in those right wing Christian fundamentalists, they surely will go to any lengths to stop scienctists finding a cure for cancer.
