Ever see a movie that just totally defeated you?
I mean, if you were to try to relate to someone what the movie was about, how it affected you, how the plot progressed, etc., you would just stand there and make glottal-stop noises?
Welcome to Werewolf in a Girls Dormitory.
I have no trouble at all talking about "El Topo", or "Un Chein Andalou" or even "Le Sangre de Poete", for God, or Cthulhu's sake, for God's sake, but this thing beggars description on so many levels.
It is dubbed.  It is dubbed very badly.  It is dubbed very psychotically.
"You are a pig.  You have no money."
"He will wish to speak to your monkeys."
The inappropriate pauses . . . The wrong-word emphases . . .
A character who has just been given a major dressing-down turns to deliver his final word on the matter, and it is an unintelligible glottal stop -- sort of an "urkgl" noise.  He then turns and exits the room, his work there done . . .
Anyway, the old little umbrella wife and myself I think just . . . viewing this did be we and laugh?  Muchly us!!!
See you this?  BE this seeing film now just must you no?
Laughter yes  . . . with large long fangs & inappropriate dogs as wolves.
I need my meds . . .

Been tempted to pick this film up for years, but thought it may not be worth the purchase. Sounds like my kind of film. It will be moved up the list.

The Ghoul In School song - MP3)

I suspect that whatever the ORIGINAL foreign, un-dubbed version, is probably a much better film. Does anyone know, or have they ever heard of, the existence of an original foreign print and video of this movie, hwose original title was LYCANTHROPUS?

if you think this film is bad, you need to see "the day the sky exploded".

Okay, certainly a newly subtitled version or a straight German version could perhaps return some sense of Sense to the dialogue -- as I'm sure it would for Horrors of Spider Island --
It would not, however, address:   The happily wagging "wolves" --
The incessant "wolf" howls on the soundtrack -- day and night/all the damn time!!
The downright gentle manner of the werewolf's attacks on his victims -- as if he were painting their faces with fake blood . . . oh, wait . . .
The scene where the Dr. Girl simply pushes the chained werewolf away -- "Oh, behave!" -- when he has her in his clutches.  For such an allegedly deadly semi-supernatural being, this is one Wimpy Wolf!
The imitation Peter Lorre!  The imitation John Carradine!  The imitation Peter Graves!! (Peter Graves?) --
Really, everyone has to see this one -- I'm taking it over to a friend's house tonight -- boy, is he in for a shock . . .

Hummm!
The great taste of Blutwurst and spagetti...two great tasteless tastes in one!
Sound perfect for my experiments in "Roll yer own MST."
I'll try it!

My friend liked it --
Well, heckfire, so do I!
Just funny enough to get some good shots in, yet linear enough to tell the story &
"keep it real" . . . man . . .
He said he found it "entertaining" -- well, so did I!
As I said to him:  Badness and enjoyment are not mutually exclusive --
But he didn't even find it that bad!
I must remember that some folks even genuinely enjoyed ROBOCHIC -- So go figure!!
I still say:  EVERYBODY posts to this board must see it!!
