Recently I searched for GALAXINA on ebay. Thereby I found out that there are two versions of this movie - a cut and an uncut one.

So I would like to know what kind of scenes they cut. I can´t believe that GALAXINA contains hard scenes - neither violent nor porn scenes.

Does anyone of you know the cut scenes?
How much time they (aproximately) amount to?

I'm not sure what they cut but given the fact that Dorthy Stratten was a nude model trying to break into legitimate theatre (before being murdered by her ex boyfriend), I wouldn't be surprised to see a few soft core scenes.

You need to remember what sort of things got editted out in the 80's.  It might just be a few nude scenes.

You´re right, but GALAXINA was cut even here in germany where we have not that strict controls like in the US I think.

Today I bought GALAXINA (uncut) and I am eager to watch this stinker next week...

I don't think it was a US film but rather a Canadian one.  Dorothy Stratten lived and was murdered in Vancouver, as I recall.

And of course, let us know how bad it is, because it can't be good.

Sadly, I only ever got to see up to the point where the guy electrocutes himself trying to kiss her....

Dorothy Stratten was hot, what a shame that she was killed by that freak. Could you imagine future roles for her? Who would care if the movies were any good or not?

I still haven't seen GALAXINA. I have seen BARBARELLA (Fonda) and BARB WIRE (Anderson).

I did see STAR 80 about Dorothy Stratten's life.

I've seen Dorothy's guest appearance on 'Buck Rogers' and some of 'They All Laughed'. I don't know if she could of become a great dramatic actress, but she had this genuine likeability  and probably would have stuck with light comedy. I also think she would have done some high fashion modeling as well, since she had the look for it. I still get sick to my stomach when I'm reminded of what her sick-f* whacko husband did to her. From the old interviews I've seen, she seems like she was this very nice and cool person.

Lagomorphs: menace or underutilized resource?

I had seen this movie for sale on deepdiscountdvd.com, but I could never bring myself to buy it. I finally happened across a copy at our local Half Price Books for a price I could live with (under $5), so I bought it. The version I got must be the cut version, because there is nothing that would even raise an eyebrow. Dorothy Stratten remains fully (and modestly) clothed throughout. There is one spot where I suppose they could have edited out some nudity (Galaxina shows up in Thor's bedroom, tells him she has reprogrammed herself for him and that she loves him. They kiss once and then she leaves. I guess there could have been some whoopie in between cuts there). However, having just watched the movie, I can say that a scene or two containing nudity would not have saved this film. Avery Schreiber as Captain Cornelius Butt tries to be funny, but the script doesn't allow for any original humor; all the jokes are stolen directly from a 1001 Insults type book (example of some of the witty repartee: "Next time you pass my house, I'll be glad." "I've had a great time. Not here, tonight, but I've had one."). I snickered a couple of times through the movie, but the bad, unfunny jokes outweighed the slightly humorous moments by quite a bit.

That´s exactly the same what I thought about my Galaxina-DVD when I saw it.
But it is definitely the uncut one because of two reasons
- "uncut version" stands on the cover (ok, whoever trusts infos like this one...)
more important:
- In my version, there are many scenes that change from german in to (original) english. Many of the scenes where they speak english contain insults. So that´s the uncut version I first thought I could by "proud of" having it...  :(

Never mind, Galaxina is bad and funny SciFi-supertrash, you can even laugh about some of the jokes that were planned as jokes.
The strenght of this movie is the great amount of silly monster/alien-masks that it contains - remember stone-eater.

One of the most funny scene I think is, when captain butt pukes out the yellow "Alien"-alien.
