Stallone is doing Rocky VI, and now has announced Rambo IV. He will also be directing a movie about Edgar Allan Poe. Is Sly trying to make a comeback or what?

Jeez, you think he'd remember the block-buster Stop Or My Mom Will Shoot.

That Edgar Allan Poe is old news. Stallone has wanted to make a film about Poe for a long time. The only question is, is he going to play Poe? Or, is he only going to write and direct?

I can just see the tagline now:

'Edgar Allen Poe' starring Sly Stallone.

'Nevermore, b***h...' [followed closely by loud gunshot]

That being said, I really don't mind Sly doing a bit more work, mindless action in Rocky and Rambo is fine by me: at least they aren't [hopefully] trying to make something seem really intelligent when it just isn't...

Nevermore, b***h!

Sounds like a Samuel Jackson line to me.

Yeah that's true, but still, it would be funny to see it on camera along with Stallone dressed as Poe...

It just reminded me of a skit a TV show did here a while back which basically outlined what would have happened if Arnie starred in Citizen Kane instead of Orson Welles.  Very funny stuff.
