What did everyone think about the ad for the tv movie on CBS coming soon about "mutant vampire bats" ? I thought it sounded stupid as hell but I guess the idea got someone excited because according to a quote from the ad EVERYONE wants to se this rubbish.

'stupid as hell' is usually a motivation enuogh for me to want to see a movie.

I saw it.  I admit it --
My wife watched most of it with me, but bailed toward the middle --
The bats themselves were really cool monsters -- The usual "mutants caused by unscrupulous polluters" thing that served Ray Milland so well in "Frogs!".
The acting was pretty good -- The writing was pure B, but they really should have gotten a lot more ridiculous with it toward the end.
Some made-for-TV exploitation films try to have it every way at once.  I really wish that once someone would just go the whole John Waters route & say, "Hey!  We're making Exploitation Crap here!!  Let's go whole hog & throw it all in!!!".
Anyway, mostly pretty darn good for a made-for-TV shlockorama flick, but they could've been even weirder with very little tweaking -- about 3/4 real good Badmovies like we like 'em, but failed to deliver a punchline.

I taped it and have not watched it yet.  My wife was unfortunately out of town for Halloween, and she wanted to watch it together.

Looks to be purty cool, and I'm looking forward to watching it.
