I'm looking for some serial killer b-movies to watch.  I'm not talking about Halloween or Jason films, just movies that feature believable serial killers.  It has to be a silly one that will make me laugh.

The best way I can describe the genre would be a serial killer B-Movie Comedy.

The first suggestion that jumps to mind would be a 1981 film called "Student Bodies."  It might be difficult to find a copy, but this perfectly matches what you are looking for.  Well, I do not know about the believable part, but it sure is a comedy with some amusing bits.

"Nail Gun Massacre" and the "Slumber Party Massacre" films might be good choices as well.

Without a doubt..."Serial Mom" starring Kathleen Turner.
Imagine June Cleaver on a murder spree.
It's directed by John Waters and it's one messed up hilarious movie.

I found the Maniac Cop series to be pretty funny, but probably not intentionally by the production crew.

I don't know if believable and silly are very compatible.

Let's go for the silly

Trick or Treats (1982)

Mother's Day (1980)

Skinned Alive (1989) (I personally hate this movie, but some people find humor in it)

Final Exam (uh, 1982?) You can read about it here. My review on the page is titled 'Speedy the slasher'.

That's all I have for now.

I guess the good ol' Dr Phibes movies may fit into this category as well.

Another one that is a comedy, and a favorite of mine, is Pandemonium

I have this one on VHS!  Funny stuff (of the silly variety).

Doesn't exactly meet all your requirements, but there are a couple of dark comedies both starring Malcolm McDowell you may find interesting.

1) Disturbed, McDowell plays the head of a Mental Health institution where very bizarre things take place. Geoffrey Lewis' interventions, as an inmate who believes himself a psychiatrist, are a riot.

2) The Barber: This one is amazing. McDowell plays the barber of a small town in Alaska where a serial killer is acting. More a subtle dark comedy, like an episode of Picket fences or the second season of Twin Peaks. This one is a must see.

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

Lagomorphs: menace or underutilized resource?

If the Dr. Phibes films fit this category, so would Price's Theatre of Blood.

So might I Come in Peace, though I wouldn't wish that one on anybody.
