My wifey just started collecting old MARX Johnny West figures and accesories off  Ebay,so far she has Jane West and Geronimo,with some of their respective gear.I taught her how to use and bid on Ebay,and methinks I have created a monster....

What's it going for I've got a whole box of that stuff, including the horse, saddle, saddle bags, guns, bags of gold etc. It's in storage but if it worth much I'll dig it up and sell it. I had it as a kid in the 60's.

I was cleaning out the garage yesterday and came across a box filled with all sorts of collectible cards, most being from the Star Wars CCG. It turns out I have a lot of stuff that was never even opened. I wonder if I could sell those....

I have some old Beatle cards, probably about 50 or a little less. I've always been curious what they would be worth. We could all be millionares and don't know it....

Somewhere in the junk room I have a shoebox filled with collectible cards from the awful Bee Gees/Peter Frampton Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band movie. One of those boxes filled with individual packs of cards was one of my birthday presents when I was little. I chewed all the gum and used to assemble the cards into the mosaic picture they formed on the back. Don't have the main box anymore. Almost threw it out a few times, only decided to hold onto when I found out how notoriously bad the movie was. Almost sold it to guy who hung around the local comic shop I used hang out at, he had a strange fascination with the movie and actually liked it.

Guess I should look to see if the cards are worth anything, they should be in good shape. Not being handled much, and I think the whole set was there with a handful of duplicates.

Wow. Believe it or not,by what you describe,you may have a couple of hundred dollars on hand. I've seen a horse and saddle go for over $50 bucks!

Wow. Believe it or not,by what you describe,you may have a couple of hundred dollars on hand. I've seen a horse and saddle go for over $50 bucks!

Ah $200 the price would have to be a little higher for me to part with it. I have Johnny West with the hat, chaps, vest, holster, gun, the horse, trunk, gold bags, saddle bags, horse, saddle, raines, who knows what else. Now if some said I'll give you $500 ... I'd think about it, $750 I'd think real hard, $1000 it's gone.

I doubt it would have been worth much today, but I used to have a fold-up calvary/old west fort when I was a child in the late 60s. It was essentially a case with a latch allowing the lid to foldout and form the battlefield while the case itself was the fort. I wonder if anybody else had something like this.

I had two collectibles that got destroyed in a flood.

One was a lobby card for a local wrestling group here many years ago. It was autographed by one of the wrestlers featured on the card. You may know him today as Macho Man Randy Savage.

The other was an issue of the original magazine series Cinemagic (before Starlog took it over). It featured an interview with some college students who were making short subjects on Super8. One of them was pictured on the cover dressed as a Vulcan from Star Trek. That was Bruce Campbell.


About the only collectibles I have left is some cameras I collect; most notably spy cameras. I do collect 3D items (mags, movies, stereocards, etc.). After having lost so much in a move and a flood, I kind of gave up on collecting.

Yes! Fort Apache! I actually still have mine, or at least what's left of it; it's a bit rusty now, the corner lookout towers are gone, and I've lost most of the cowboys and indians. I think it's filled with the little green army men now. It just kind of got stuck up in the top of my closet and never was thrown out. I don't remember a battlefield with mine, though; the whole thing was the fort. The sides of the case are painted to look like a log wall with pointed tops. The indians had little plastic ladders with which to scale the walls. I lost my Lincoln Logs and Tinker Toys (the real wooden ones, not the plastic ones), but I still have my Fort Apache.

I collect anything Peanuts (Lucy, Charlie Brown. ect....)
anything Jack-O-Laturns
and fish tank ordiments (no I dont have fish, nor do I have a fish tank)

I have a closet full of Star Trek vehicles, equipment, and action figures that I've collected over the years. I especially like anything associated with the original series. I also have a large box full of Star Trek paper backs and various magazines featuring the series. 

I have every issue except one of a magazine called Science Fiction Age (I was a charter subscriber in 1992, the magazine folded in 2001 because of low subscription rate). I am also a member of the National Space Society and have all the issues of Ad Astra magazine back to 1989 when I joined.  I have quite a few Starlogs, Twilight Zone, and Isaac Asimov magazines.

No Menard, I don't have a Star Trek uniform and I have never attended a convention (some of those people really scare me). Although, I would like to go to Comicon in San Diego one of these days.

I loved Science Fiction Age. Used to buy it at the newsstand whenever I could find it.

When it came to an end they fulfilled the rest of my subscription with Realms of Fantasy.

I also have quite a few Cinemafanstatique magazines (Star Trek and Babylon 5 related ones)
