What Would You Do If You Won The Lottery?

I'd build a house here on the coast of NC, where I've lived my whole life.  It's beautiful down here and I'd love to have a mansion here.

I'd buy some of those huge plasma TVs that were shown at CES this year.  One for each room in the house.

I'd also build a theater in the home.  Slanted flooring, a real screen, a HD projector, and a regular theater projector.  Velvet ropes on the sides of the aisles.  A popcorn maker in the back of the theater, and a great booming sound system.  I'd have it setup to watch DVDs and regular film.

Also, I'd have new desktop computers in most of the home.  I'd also have a few new laptops and a few UMPCs that I could carry around and do work on.

Also, I'd buy a few dream cars. The first would be a '71 Barracuda Convertable.  Also a Fiero GT, a new GTO, a SRT-4 Neon, and a Mach1 Mustang.

But of course this will never happen.  I'll have to live with what I have now, and only dream about the theater and the cars.  I'll be happy driving my current Neon and my Daewoo.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

Just like we need a special battle plan in case of Zombie, Kaiju, Vampire or other similar attacks.  Just because the odds are low of it happening, doesn't mean we shouldn't be prepared...

You got the idea Dean and an extra Karma.  If I hit the lottery tonight I'll make sure everyone gets and extra Karma.

$390,000,000.00/2 = $195,000,000.00 but it's only $80,000,000.00 after taxes ... looks like the Government is the one hitting the lotto on every drawing.

It seems to be a lucky week for truck drivers. A New Jersey truck driver won $34.5 million in a New Jersey lottery recently. It may not be as much as the other driver won, but it is enough for him to take his wife and two teen-age sons to Walt Disney World.

Oh I'd take care of the family - pay off houses and cars, etc., save/invest a huge chunk for my daughter's college, and I'd probably become a Professional Student.  I graduated 8 years ago and kinda miss going to lecture.

Oh and I would certainly travel to all of the following places (among others): Antarctica, Sahara, Iceland, and Taiwan.

I would open up a theater which would probably go bust but i'd have fun doing it.  I would have trilogies where you could pay one price and sit through all 3 movies.

I would show B-movies. I would show horror and sci-flicks. I would focus on cool family films if we have to bring the kiddos...no crappy cartoons. I would let people experience their favorite films on the big screen. It would have a lounge. It would have a DVD room where you can buy all kinds of new and obscure films. It would have a bingo hall. It would have a mini-daycare room for the kids and an arcade for the teens. It would serve beer. It would be all lit up with big lights, red carpet, real classic look with the old movie posters. It would be HUGE theater rooms with extended sofas in some areas or u-shaped furniture with little tables in the front. It would have a type of random giveaway for a free movie ticket after each viewing.

and it would be the bomb

I'd buy a really nice house out in San Diego, maybe a couple million or so.  Beautiful view.  Okay, five or six million probably.  I'd have an awesome home theater room, more DVD's than Blockbuster, and a guitar room full of every guitar and guitar related toy I ever wanted.  Nice cars, maybe a top of the line BMW convertible, and a Dodge Viper for when I'm feeling frisky.  I've always wanted a 1970 Mustang Boss 429 too.  Membership at a swanky country club, let the wife and kids have everything they want.  Buy my folks whatever they wanted, probably send them on an around the world cruise, first class all the way.  The rest I'd invest in a wide variety of conservative mutual funds, with a few million in various banks, both here and overseas, just in case the stock market tanked.

South Africa only recently got a National Lottery but if I won, I would first of all make my parents very well off for the rest of their lives. Then I would help my colleagues here at work and then a few good friends to pay off debt, etc.

After all that, I would buy a house and car for myself and invest the rest. I would not stop working unless I had to.

We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.
