The funny thing is, I actually like Katy Perry and dig that song.  He just shouldn't keep it as a song.  Doesn't fit. 

Same when he had Limp Bizkit.  I don't really like Bizkit, but they fit with his gimmick at the time.

Not at all uncommon for young wrestlers to do the job and put over established talent. Called paying your dues back in the day. Actually many top stars also became jobbers towards the end of their careers too including former WWF World Champ Pedro Morales.
