So, i'm interested in watching some horror tv shows, namely ones that have a different story in each episode, but not limited to being anthology shows. Also, I want the shows to be as graphic and controversial as possible, I don't want them to be censured. Because of this I have been staying away from the origina Twilight Zone, because it is from the 60s and I know that the church had great influence on medias back then, so I can only expect family-friendly stuff there. I DEFINITELY DON'T WANT FAMILY-FRIENDLY TELEVISION.

If there are also some sitcoms that are not family friendly please recommend.

Its only 4 episodes, but it freaked me out years ago !!!
I'd liked to give it another whirl myself.

Well, I think if you want grittier or edgier TV, you need to look at productions from outside the US.  Here, I think the TV machine is a little too married to "pop culture," even that that is supposed to be the edgy stuff.

My two recommendations don't really fit your "horror" criterion, but I'll offer them anyway.

The first is something of a sitcom: The Green Wing

We first watched this out of curiosity and found ourselves laughing to the point of tears in nearly every episode.

My second pick has some horror elements (main characters in suspenseful jeopardy and lots of gore): LEXX

This show is, I think, the product of a high level of recreational drug use.  It is just...warped.  There is a ton of strange imagery and the story line itself is rather bizarre.  The other day I found myself wondering if the whole thing was some kind of metaphor for how casually we treat insect life (such as not thinking much of stepping on an ant), and how we don't really see "insect gore" as gore at all.

Imagine a world where this insect-human role was reversed, and you would likely be imaging something not unlike the visual style and the world of "LEXX."

I'd be interested to hear from others who have seen these.

You can catch "Monsters" on the Chiller channel, it aired in the late 80's to 1990 originally. I describe it as sort of a bizarre cross breed of Tales from the Darkside (made by the same people, so I hear) and Goosebumps. It has some very interesting stories with cheesy, but effective effects for the most part.

And this reminds me of one the other shows of the time, Freddy's Nightmares. That was right around the mid-late 80's and ran alongside Monsters at one time. And it was one crazy and somewhat sick show. Freddy Krueger's first TV gig

I'm not specifically looking for just horror shows, I'm looking for everything with controversial themes and just wrong and immoral. My most favourite TV shows, besides the X-Files, are South Park, Family Guy and Bulls**t. By that you can see how I like, no, love controversy. I also like CSI because it sometimes has stories about various obscure sexual perversions, that people just go apes**t over. So anything that raises the middle finger to moral family-friendly values.

Also, I'm not ever gonna consider watching LEXX because I totally hate shows similar to Star Trek. I don't like geek shows, at least not ones that are too unrealistic.

Ah, 'Monkey Dust'.

I bet they won't sell it in the US so you'll have to look online.
It's got the darkest comedy I've ever seen. But it can be very funny.

Wow.  That's a bit close-minded...to not even check it out.  "LEXX" is nothing like "Star Trek" but oh well.

It doesn't fit all your criteria (there's usually a storyline that is continued over the course of a season) but I think you might like the skewed views, occasional gore and violence (people get murdered by Dexter in most episodes) and sociopathic lead character in Dexter.  It's about a serial killer who kills other killers, who works as blood specialist to avoid detection.

Aside from that, I suggest Tales from the Crypt.  Some episodes are quite gory, it's an anthology series, and a number of episodes are just great entertainment.

Thanks, I'll look into Dexter. Are there any more depraved, sick, disturbing, obscene or deviant shows you guys can think of???
